The event is Angels of Hope Ride and Cruise-in Poker Run on Aug. 17, Ride a motorcycle or car and support the Domestic Violence Project, Inc. The event starts at the North Canton Eagles, 6979 Sunset Strip. The first group rides out a 10 a.m. and last one leaves at noon.

- FLAT CALL - To call a bet. Emphasizes that the caller did not raise.
- FOUR OF A KIND - A hand containing all four cards of the same rank.
- TOURNAMENT - A highly structured game involving potentially dozens of tables where all participants pay an entry fee and obtain a fixed number of chips. Once a tournament has started, additional players may not enter. As the game progresses players bust out and are eliminated until only one winner remains.
- LATE POSITION - For a particular betting round, a player who does not have to act until most of the other players have acted.
- NO-LIMIT POKER - A game where there is no maximum bet; a player can wager any amount (perhaps above some minimum) up to whatever money is on the table in front of him.
- HOUSE RULE - Rules and interpretations (e.g., use of wild cards, or rules on having to show beaten hands) that are specific to an establishment or even tables within the establishment.
