Online Poker Room Gearing Up for WSOPE
The next big thing for the World Series of Poker is the WSOPE set to start on September 19th, and online poker room Full Tilt Poker is offering their players a chance to qualify. The World Series of Poker Europe will play in London like it did last year, so part of the prize package to the WSOPE will include airfare and hotel accommodations, as well as the full buy in for the WSOPE main event. Players can buy in to qualifiers for $500 or satellite in for as little as $1.

Useful poker terms:
- HIT - To make a hand or catch a card or cards that improves one's hand. "I hit a gut-shot draw on the river."
- BIG SLICK - In Texas Hold'em, hole cards of A-K, suited or not.
- POT ODDS - The amount of money in the pot divided by the amount of money you must bet in order to call. Often used to determine if a pot offers enough reward to play on the come.
- BUTTON CHARGE - A periodic fee paid by whoever is the button, perhaps every 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Constitutes part or all of the HOUSE CUT.
- WIRED [PAIR] - A pair in the hole. In 5-card stud, a door card that pairs the hole card.
- FIRE - To make the first bet in a betting round. Used to emphasize that the player bet when a check was possible, showing strength.
