Vitaly Lunkin Wins WSOP Bracelet
The latest poker champ at the 39th annual World Series of Poker is one Vitaly Lunkin, one of the few amateur players to win during this season. He won Event #27, a No Limit Holdem, $1,500 buy in tournament, which brought in more than 2,700 players and built a prize pool large enough to pay out $628,417 to Lunkin and $387,837 to second place finisher Brett Kimes. In another event that finished the same day Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth and Chris Ferguson all made a final table, but none of them won, leaving the victory to yet another amatuer poker player.

- FIRE - To make the first bet in a betting round. Used to emphasize that the player bet when a check was possible, showing strength.
- WHITE BLACKBIRD - A hand so astonishingly rare as to be unworthy of the opponents' consideration, e.g., being dealt a pat royal flush in 5-card draw.
- FLOORMAN - The casino representative in charge of the card room or a section of a card room. Arbitrates disputes when unusual events happen.
- RERAISE - To raise after an opponent has raised.
- SUICIDE KING - King of Hearts. So named because in the drawing the king appears to be stabbing himself in the head.
