Doron Malinasky of Hollywood won the state’s first officially sanctioned high-stakes poker tournament Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Marc Alan Levy, of Boynton Beach , finished seventh in the state’s first poker tournament with officially sanctioned higher stakes. The event ended Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. Levy won $26,500.

The poker tourney in Florida was a $3k buy in No Limit Texas Holdem event held at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The tourney is unique in other ways as well: instead of the typical three to eight percent of the entry fee going to the house, a whopping twenty percent, or $600, of the buy in went to the Casino.
