The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department is anteing up cash, prizes and food to drum up some support for its new Project Lifesaver program. The department is hosting an event called “Poker Run.” Its purpose is to collect donations for clients of Project Lifesaver who can’t afford the monthly fees.
Gamblers under age 21 will soon be able allowed to place poker bets at the Meskwaki casino. The Meskwaki tribal council approved the change, which would allow 18 to 20-year-olds in poker games.
