World Poker Tour Says Goodbye to Layla
The latest World Poker Tour hostess is hitting the road. British commentator Layla Kayleigh was the fourth WPT girl in the spot, following Sabina Gadecki, Courtney Friel and of course the legendary Shana Hiatt, who started the WPT as hostess and was in that role for three years. Poker terminology:
- QUARTER - [1] Twenty-five dollars, often symbolized by a green casino chip. [2] To divide half a pot between two tying hands. In split pot games, a player who "ties" another player for their half of the pot is said to be "quartered". One might say "I didn't bet my A-2 because I figured I'd get quartered".
- RING GAME - A standard game where players can come and go as they choose. The opposite of TOURNAMENT.
- RIVER - The last card dealt in a hand of stud or Hold'em.
- DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
- FLUSH - A poker hand consisting of five cards all one suit.
- STAND OFF - To call a raise. "Opener raises, I stand off".
