JUNEAU A Waupun man accused of selling the rented video poker machines in his Dodge County tavern and pocketing the money has been bound over for trial. Daniel J. Duerst waived his preliminary hearing in Dodge County Circuit Court on Thursday. Poker dictionary:
- STUD - Any of several poker games in which some of each players' cards are exposed.
- MANIAC - A player who bets, raises and reraises without regard to the quality of his hand. Most often found in flop games.
- FOUR OF A KIND - A hand containing all four cards of the same rank.
- RAKE - Money taken from each pot and given to the house in return for hosting the game. Usually a percentage of the pot (5%-10%) up to some maximum amount.
- MIDDLE POSITION - Betting positions approximately halfway around the table from the first player to act.
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
