Poker Tax Debated in New Hampshire
Charities and non profit organizations have been on the winning side of poker tournaments in recent years across the United States, but some fear a proposed tax on Texas Holdem tournaments will change that fact. The concern comes from poker rooms in the state, and the Senate Ways and Means Committee will be taking a look at a bill that has been amended to include a ten percent tax on poker tourneys. There are concerns that this tax will keep players from coming to the race tracks, where many poker rooms are run.
