Heartland Poker Tour League Arrives at Four Winds Casino Resort
The Four Winds Casino Resort is pleased to announce that the Heartland Poker Tour League, the first national poker league for the casino player, will be holding weekly Texas Hold’em tournaments at its World Poker Tour® Poker Room as part of its Spring Season. Useful poker terms:
- POSSIBLE [STRAIGHT/FLUSH] - Up cards that quite possibly could lead to a straight and/or a flush.
- RUNNER-RUNNER - A hand made using both of the last two cards dealt.
- FAMILY POT - A pot where all of the players at the table are participating, even after each has had an opportunity to act.
- DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
- WHEEL - A-2-3-4-5. Usually discussed in the context of lowball where it is the best possible hand. Can also refer to a 5-high straight in high games. Also: BICYCLE.
