The first games have yet to get underway and the newly formed Latin American Poker Tour has already decided on a name change. Poker terminology:
- ROLLED UP - In seven-card stud, being dealt three of a kind in the first three cards.
- DOYLE BRUNSON - In Hold'em, 10-2 in the hole. So named because Doyle Brunson won two straight WSOPs (q.v.) in 1975 and 1976 with 10-2 on the last hand. (Suited (spades) in 1975, unsuited in 1976).
- OVERCALL - To call a bet after one or more players already called.
- JOKER - A 53rd card in the deck, distinct from the others, used as a wild card or as a BUG.
- BARN - A FULL HOUSE, three of a kind and a pair.
- STRAIGHT - A hand consisting of 5 cards in sequence but not in suit.
