The Victorian Supreme Court has made a landmark decision about the installation of poker machines in a central Victorian council.

Poker glossary:
- RERAISE - To raise after an opponent has raised.
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
- MARKED CARDS - Cards that have been (illegally) altered so that their value can be read from the back.
- NICKEL - Five dollars, usually represented by a red casino check.
- MISDEAL - A hand dealt incorrectly that must be re-dealt.
- POCKET ROCKETS - In Hold'em, a pair of aces for hole cards.
