Two bodies were found in an Oakland, California home on Friday, and they have been identified as Ernest Scherer Jr., 60, and his wife, Charlene Abendroth, 57. Scherer is known in the area as a pro poker player, as is his son Ernest Scherer III, 29, of Los Angeles. While poker is the latest craze to sweep the globe, many characters throughout history have enjoyed the game as well. One could imagine Blackbeard the pirate and Sherlock Holmes playing the game, but what about Dracula or the Grim Reaper?
