Rochester man heads poker group
A poker advocacy group headquartered in Washington, D.C., has named a Rochester public relations consultant as its Illinois state director.

- DEALER'S CHOICE - In home games, a rule that permits the dealer to name which poker game to be played that hand. Often limited to selecting from a list provided.
- BIG BOBTAIL - An open-ended 4-card straight flush.
- SUITED - Two or more cards all the same suit. Ant: OFF-SUIT.
- FULL OF - Describes a full house. "Fives full of queens" is 5-5-5-Q-Q.
- OPENER - The player who opens the betting, especially in draw poker. A hand may have no openers, in which case it is PASSED OUT, i.e., new hands are dealt.
