It wasn’t the big final $10,000 event, but that does not mean it was a small deal when he won event number 14, the $1,000 buy in pot limit rebuy Omaha tournament. Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian has made his presence known at a number of poker tables over the years, joining rock singer Sully Erna as representatives from the rock world in the poker world. When the news broke about the online poker scandal at Absolute Poker, it quickly spread across the Internet. It takes longer to produce a news special than it does to pop something on a blog, but it looks like the story has reached the big time with 60 Minutes. The news show is looking at airing the story as part of a special segment about online poker: this is according to the blog of Nat Arem, one of the bloggers who uncovered the AP scandal in the first place, who was interviewed by 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft.
