Poker run planned to benefit Douglas Alley
Supporters of the Douglas Alley family will sponsor another Benefit Poker Run on March 8 to help the boy born with several severe medical conditions. Money raised by the event will help the family pay for another operation on March 14 in New York.

Poker terminology:
- LOCK - A hand that cannot be beat under any circumstances. Also: NUTS.
- LAY ODDS - To give favorable odds to an opponent.
- HOOK - A Jack. So named because the "J" resembles a hook.
- HOLE CARDS - In Stud and Hold'em, the face-down cards dealt to each player.
- HOUSE RULE - Rules and interpretations (e.g., use of wild cards, or rules on having to show beaten hands) that are specific to an establishment or even tables within the establishment.
- TRIPS - Three of a kind. In Hold'em the term SET is used when two of the three cards are hole cards.
