Duncan Cameron, 64, teacher, poker player, man of happy habits
Duncan Cameron collected more poker buddies than he did poker chips. But that was fine by him. For 40 years, Mr. Cameron hosted Wednesday night games in the wood-paneled basement of the same Lithonia home where he’d grown up. Most of the faces he studied across the card table belonged to friends he’d known for much of his life, some as far back as his Lithonia High School days.

Poker terminology:
- STRAIGHT - A hand consisting of 5 cards in sequence but not in suit.
- BLACK - When referring to chips, black usually stands for $100 casino chips. "This guy sits down with a stack of blacks and raises the first bet." Not ALL casinos use black for $100 but that is the common usage.
- SUITED - Two or more cards all the same suit. Ant: OFF-SUIT.
- UNDERDOG - Before all the cards are dealt, a hand that does not figure to be the winner. Ant: FAVORITE.
- KICKER TROUBLE - Not having as high a kicker as an opponent.
- CARDS SPEAK - Winner(s) of the hand are determined by turning their cards face up, the best hand(s) wins (no declaration).
