Poker remains a controversial topic in many lands, but on February 23rd at the Clare Moose Lodge Texas Holdem players will be doing a good thing. The Texas Holdem Poker Tournament Fundraiser will be held at the Lodge in order to raise money to help needy children, with the proceeds from the buy in going to benefit the Mid Michigan Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clare County as well as Gladwin County. - WIRED [PAIR] - A pair in the hole. In 5-card stud, a door card that pairs the hole card.
- CAP - To cap the betting is to make the last permitted raise in a round.
- GUT SHOT - A draw to an inside straight, as in 2-3-4-6.
- RING GAME - A standard game where players can come and go as they choose. The opposite of TOURNAMENT.
- ROLLED UP - In seven-card stud, being dealt three of a kind in the first three cards.
- OPEN-ENDED STRAIGHT - Four cards to a straight which can be completed by drawing a card at either end. E.g., 6-7-8-9 is an open-ended straight. Also: BOBTAIL STRAIGHT. Compare: INSIDE STRAIGHT.
