Winnipeg Poker Player Pleads Guilty
Nearly a year ago a poker bust in Winnipeg lined up a lot of poker players to appear in court and express their guilt or innocence, and the first player to plead guilty has people talking. Neil Faderon, who is 27 years old, pled guilty to being found in a gaming house, and was offered a discharge by Judge Rocky Pollack. - SUICIDE KING - King of Hearts. So named because in the drawing the king appears to be stabbing himself in the head.
- SEAT POSITION - The actual seat a player has, normally numbered sequentially starting with 1 as the first seat to dealer's left. Not to be confused with POSITION in a particular pot. Typically unrelated to play of a hand but often important in peripheral aspects, e.g.: "Seats 1 and 10 are nonsmoking here", "Seat 5 has a good view of the table", "Seat 3 is in a high-traffic area".
- WALK - A pot won by the last blind when no one opens.
- ROLLED UP - In seven-card stud, being dealt three of a kind in the first three cards.
- LIVE [CARD] - In Stud, a card probably not held by other players.
- STRAIGHT FLUSH - A hand consisting of 5 cards in sequence and the same suit.
