Online Poker Room Snookered by Glitch
Online poker room Betfair was hit for more than £100,000 when a computer glitch started paying out 2nd place money to every player that busted out under 1st place, which still got 1st place money. The news hit the internet and players started to move up to super high stake games and started going in every hand to trigger the glitch. Betfair has contacted more than 20 players to demand the money back, accusing them of perpetrating a fraud by taking advantage of a known glitch and of using collusion to profit, which is against the rules.
