Suns’ Marion to host charity poker benefit
Shawn Marion of the Phoenix Suns will host a charity poker tournament Jan. 30 filled with A-list sports and entertainment stars, as well as regular folks.

Poker lingo:
- BOARD - The exposed cards in Hold'em and stud. Also BOARD CARDS.
- TOP TWO PAIR - In flop games, having hole cards that make the highest possible two pair hand.
- SMALL BLIND - In games with two blinds the first blind is the SMALL BLIND because it is usually one-half (or less) the second or large blind.
- OPEN-HANDED - A category of games characterized by a part of each player's hand being exposed.
- RAKE - Money taken from each pot and given to the house in return for hosting the game. Usually a percentage of the pot (5%-10%) up to some maximum amount.
- FIFTH STREET - In stud poker, the fifth card to be dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the last card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is RIVER (q.v.).
