Poker players use various companies to fund their poker accounts, and the number of available options seem to be dropping every few months or so. The latest casualty is PayTrue, as their customers got an email telling them that at some online poker rooms they won’t be able to use their PayTrue VisaDebit card anymore. While card holders can still use their PayTrue cards to take money out of an ATM or make purchases anywhere that Visa is accepted, they won’t be able to use them to fund online poker accounts at certain rooms.
David Pham was already in the lead when it came to this year’s Card Player Magazine Player of the Year race, but he held his lead by only 300 points over his closest threat, Jonathan Little. When the Global Poker Strategic Thinking Society got started in August they lost no time in organizing poker matches at colleges in the United States. The idea behind the GPSTS was to further college students’ education using the skills and tactics that poker players use in making decisions.
