Desert Riders Motorsports sponsors charity Poker Run
Leather jackets, boots and sunglasses are what most of the gang gathered at Desert Riders Motorsports all wore Dec. 1 before the Poker Run. Another thing these riders had in common was their big hearts.

Poker lingo:
- HOOK - A Jack. So named because the "J" resembles a hook.
- DEALER'S CHOICE - In home games, a rule that permits the dealer to name which poker game to be played that hand. Often limited to selecting from a list provided.
- STRING BET - An unethical and often illegal means of raising whereby a player puts a call-size stack of chips into the pot and, after observing the reactions of the players, then goes back to his stack and puts out more, thus raising.
- POSSIBLE [STRAIGHT/FLUSH] - Up cards that quite possibly could lead to a straight and/or a flush.
- MISDEAL - A hand dealt incorrectly that must be re-dealt.
- RUSH - A winning streak. Also "ON A RUSH".
