Poker Fundraiser Raises Concerns
TASER is a foundation that raises money to support the families of fallen police officers in the United States, and most say they do a great job of it, but an upcoming poker fundraiser is raising concerns by some who feel that it is mixing “virtues and vices”. The tournament, which will be hosted by poker pro Phil Hellmuth, is a Vegas style event to be held at the Palms Casino Resort under the name Beauty and the Bet, and the beauty part comes from several Playboy Bunnies appearing at the event. This, plus the “Vegas” atmosphere, are concerns to some, but TASER staff point out that they have had three previous poker themed fundraisers with no complaints.
