Poker slang:
- LIVE ONE - The best kind of opponent, a poor player with a lot of money to lose and in a hurry to lose it.
- UNDERDOG - Before all the cards are dealt, a hand that does not figure to be the winner. Ant: FAVORITE.
- FOLD - To decline to call a bet, thus dropping out of a hand.
- DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
- FIXED LIMIT - A betting structure where the amount of each bet is a specific fixed quantity. Usually specified as A-B, where A is the amount to bet in the first few betting rounds and B (larger than A) is the amount bet in the later rounds. - BOARD - The exposed cards in Hold'em and stud. Also BOARD CARDS.
