Expert Insight is a poker themed business launched by pro Phil Gordon, a WPT winner, founder of the Put a Bad Beat on Cancer charity and the former host of the hit Bravo TV show Celebrity Poker Showdown. Gordon and his company have recently joined up with Zipidee, a distribution organization, to get their instructional videos out to a wider market. Poker dictionary:
- RAKE - Money taken from each pot and given to the house in return for hosting the game. Usually a percentage of the pot (5%-10%) up to some maximum amount.
- FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
- BRODERICK CRAWFORD - In Hold'em, hole cards of 10-4. From the 1950s TV series "Highway Patrol", starring Broderick Crawford.
- FISH - A player who loses money. An old saying is "If you can't spot the fish at the table, *you* are the fish.".
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
- OVERCALL - To call a bet after one or more players already called.
