Taking a page from the US Government playbook, Norway is the next in a line of European countries striking a blow against online poker and online gambling. Norway’s financial institutions will be held responsible for reporting and tracking transactions related to online gambling, much in the same way the UIGEA legislation works in the United States. Not all European nations are taking such a stance, however - for instance Norway’s neighbor Sweden has instead regulated online gambling, although their government monopoly is taking some hits from the European Union on the matter…
