Tri-Valley band uses Poker Walk to raise funds
DRESDEN - Jeff Stilwell said he loves his new uniform. That is probably why Stilwell, a freshman percussionist in the Tri-Valley High School Marching Band, helped with an event geared toward paying for them.

Poker argot:
- ROYAL FLUSH - An ace-high straight flush, the best possible hand in regular poker.
- WHEEL - A-2-3-4-5. Usually discussed in the context of lowball where it is the best possible hand. Can also refer to a 5-high straight in high games. Also: BICYCLE.
- POT LIMIT - A game where the maximum bet is determined by the size of the pot at the time. Note that a player wanting to raise first calls the bet, then totals the pot to determine the maximum amount he can raise.
- HIT - To make a hand or catch a card or cards that improves one's hand. "I hit a gut-shot draw on the river."
- QUALIFIER - A minimum standard that a hand must meet in order to win. Usually applied to the lowball side of a high-low split pot.
- MANIAC - A player who bets, raises and reraises without regard to the quality of his hand. Most often found in flop games.
