China’s poker-faced leader shows hand at paper cutting
Poker-faced Chinese President Hu Jintao’s prowess in decorative paper-cutting will soon go on display at an exhibition of the traditional art, local media reported on Saturday.

Poker terminology:
- READ - To determine whether an opponent has a good, medium or bad hand by observing his personal behavior. An inexact science.
- PAT - Holding or being dealt a pat hand. "I'm pat" would mean "I don't want to draw any cards.
- POSITION - One's location in the betting sequence, relative to the players still in the hand. First position is first to act.
- LOOSE - Playing more hands than the norm. Antonym: TIGHT.
- MITES AND LICE - A hand consisting of two pair, threes over twos.
- FIRE - To make the first bet in a betting round. Used to emphasize that the player bet when a check was possible, showing strength.
