Million Dollar Poker Freeroll
In poker parlance a “Freeroll” is a poker tournament that offers a valuable prize but does not require a “buy in”, or cost, to participate. Online poker rooms are known for putting on $100 freerolls, where the top finishing players chop up the $100 among them, but few freerolls are as impressive as the one coming from Players Only Poker. - RING GAME - A standard game where players can come and go as they choose. The opposite of TOURNAMENT.
- ALL-IN - To have all of one's chips in the pot. A player who is all-in cannot be forced out of the pot by more betting, but is only eligible to win that portion of the pot he has contributed to. Generally, a SIDE POT is created each time a player is all-in.
- FACE CARD - A jack, queen or king (a card with a face on it, not joker).
- HOOK - A Jack. So named because the "J" resembles a hook.
- PAY OFF - Calling a bet with little expectation of winning, unless the opponent is bluffing.
- QUALIFIER - A minimum standard that a hand must meet in order to win. Usually applied to the lowball side of a high-low split pot.
