The next generation of online poker is on the way, and online poker room Ladbrokes seems to be ready to take the point with an updated site that includes 3D graphics and live voice chat. This is according to a recent announcement by Playwize, regarding a development and licensing agreement with Ladbrokes that will make it all happen. Poker glossary:
- OUT - [1] A card that will improve your hand, often substantially. A hand with many OUTS is preferable to a hand with only 1 or 2. [2] Folded, ineligible to bet or win this hand. "I'm out" is often a synonym for "I fold".
- LOOSE - Playing more hands than the norm. Antonym: TIGHT.
- BET FOR VALUE - Betting a hand that, in the long run, is expected to win more than it loses. Antonym: BLUFF.
- SHOWDOWN - The point at the end of the hand where all active players reveal their cards and the pot is awarded to the winner(s).
- BOAT - A FULL HOUSE, three of a kind and a pair.
- IMPLIED ODDS - A refinement to POT ODDS which includes money not yet in the pot. Considers the potential extra bets and winnings made when a player forms a very good hand.
