Two South Mississippians Edge Out Poker Pros In Tournament
On Sunday, the number of players in the Beau Rivage Gulf Coast Poker Tournament had whittled down from 258 to six. And a Gulfport man was one of the last ones standing.

Poker lingo:
- ON THE COME - A situation where the player does not have a complete hand but hopes to make one if the right cards come up.
- TAP - In no-limit games, to wager all of one's money in one bet.
- FULL HOUSE - A hand consisting of 3-of-a-kind and a (different) pair.
- LITTLE SLICK - In Hold'em, hole cards of A-2, suited or not.
- SEAT POSITION - The actual seat a player has, normally numbered sequentially starting with 1 as the first seat to dealer's left. Not to be confused with POSITION in a particular pot. Typically unrelated to play of a hand but often important in peripheral aspects, e.g.: "Seats 1 and 10 are nonsmoking here", "Seat 5 has a good view of the table", "Seat 3 is in a high-traffic area".
- LIVE [CARD] - In Stud, a card probably not held by other players.
