First Gulf Coast WPT Event Started
Not long after the two year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina passed the Gulf Coast Championship got underway, the first World Poker Tour event to be hosted on the Gulf Coast, and a sure sign that the casino and poker industry is well on their way back. This $10k buy in event wrapped up day one with a few notable names still in the running, such as JC Tran, TJ Cloutier and Vannessa Rousso. Play is taking place at the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort, with tourney director Johnny Grooms helming the ship.
