The new poker room at the Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming Center has a new opening date, and it isn’t earlier than the previous one. The open date has been pushed back to November 1st, despite all the activity inside as construction workers have been trying to get the room ready since June. Billed as the World’s Largest Poker Casino, the Commerce Casino has added yet more table games to their list of offerings. The Commerce Casino Sit-n-Go’s will not be your traditional poker tables, however, but rather the latest trend in dealer-less tables, electronic poker tables that will run as soon as there are enough players to play. A very important rules change has taken place regarding admission to the 2007 World Poker Dealer Championships, opening the field up to allow a lot more players in the gate. The event, hosted by Binion’s Casino (the birthplace of the World Series of Poker) has been changed to an individual tournament rather than a representative one. This means that the four events may now be attended by any qualified employee of a public card room…
