World Poker Tour betting on coast

BILOXI The World Poker Tour will bring its televised high-limits poker tournament to the Beau Rivage in Biloxi on Aug. 29 to Sept. 9. The event, the first televised poker tournament on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, is one of 19 stops in Season VI of the World Poker Tournament.

  • LATE POSITION - For a particular betting round, a player who does not have to act until most of the other players have acted.
  • BLACK - When referring to chips, black usually stands for $100 casino chips. "This guy sits down with a stack of blacks and raises the first bet." Not ALL casinos use black for $100 but that is the common usage.
  • UNDER THE GUN - The position that has to act first in a round of betting.
  • GUT SHOT - A draw to an inside straight, as in 2-3-4-6.
