Poker in the Park a Success

In London the World Series of Poker Europe is going to kick off for the first time in September, bringing a global poker brand to the UK, but the World Poker Tour beat the WSOP to the punch. The World Poker Tour’s “Poker in the Park” at Leicester Square drew hundreds of the curious and poker fans for mini tournaments and a chance to meet and greet WPT board members such as Steve Lipscomb and celebrities like Mimi Rogers. The city of London is often referred to as Europe’s number one poker destination.

This term is most often used in certain tournaments where if one loses all one's chips, or falls below a certain minimum chip level, for an additional sum of money one can purchase a fixed amount of additional tournament chips.
