Around here, Rick Zorn is called the “poker god,” and is considered by many to be one of the best Texas Hold ‘Em players in the county. He’s so respected that a handful of Zorn’s friends contributed to the $10,000 needed for a seat at the World Series of Poker this week in Las Vegas.
BIG NEWS: The field increased to a total of 2,832 players on the second of four starting days at the $10,000 buy-in World Series of Poker main event Saturday. Organizers said Day 2 had 1,545 entrants, compared to 1,287 on Friday, and Sunday’s pool looked to be even bigger.
