HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. — A suspect in a Happy Valley bank robbery was detained by authorities after he was found playing video poker shortly after the robbery.

The Small Town Poker Tour Pro Am Championship will be held July 13, at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas. The Tournament is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM. The event is open to all players from around the world.

Police said they quickly solved a bank robbery Monday after finding the suspect plunked down at a video poker machine not far away. Clackamas County and Portland officers were called to the U.S. National Bank on SE 82nd. Avenue in Happy Valley just before 1 p.m.

Rafi Amit feels right at home in the World Series of Poker. The semi-professional poker player from Israel won his second career bracelet Sunday in the Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw Lowball World Championship. Amit cashed in six WSOP events in his career.

The Shelby County Rescue Squad has rescheduled their Fourth Annual Rescue Ride Poker Run for Saturday, July 7. All other activities originally slated for June 23 took place indoors, but the ride was nixed because of rain.
