PPV Returns for ESPN Poker Coverage
Last year ESPN started something new with a pay per view special covering the final table of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker, and it looks like they will offer the same thing this year. “The World Series of Poker Final Table Live!” is the name of the program, with a suggested price of $19.95, and will show live coverage and expert commentary on Tuesday July 17, kicking off at 3 pm. An emphasis is being placed this year on fan interaction, with viewers able to text and email comments and questions to the commentators.

Poker lexicon:
- BICYCLE - The best possible low hand: A-2-3-4-5. More common term: WHEEL.
- RACE - In tournaments it is sometimes convenient to remove all lower-denomination chips from play, as the remaining players' stacks tend to grow. Small chips are converted to larger chips and any odd chips are "raced off" in the following way: each player with odd chips places them in front of his stack and is dealt one card for each chip. Highest card (rank and suit) takes all the small chips and converts them to higher-denomination chips.
- FOLD - To decline to call a bet, thus dropping out of a hand.
- OMAHA - A variant of Hold'em where each player receives 4 hole cards and must use exactly two of them (together with 3 of 5 board cards) to make a hand. Often played high-low split with an 8 qualifier for low.
- GOOD GAME - A game with players worse than you so that you can expect to win a lot of money.
- PAY STATION - A player who rarely folds, thus who frequently calls better hands and loses. Almost as much fun as a LIVE ONE.
