No Support for Poker Dome
When the Poker Dome was created in Las Vegas the poker community was abuzz with the idea. A high tech stage with glass walls, the Poker Dome put the players under glass for the audience, which could see them but not be seen in return. In addition players were hooked up to heart monitors to display their stress, but apparently the stress of doing business in the poker world proved too much for the Dome…

- POT ODDS - The amount of money in the pot divided by the amount of money you must bet in order to call. Often used to determine if a pot offers enough reward to play on the come.
- AMERICAN AIRLINES - In Hold'em, a pair of Aces in the hole. Better known (at least in rec.gambling) as POCKET ROCKETS.
- SHILL - A card room employee who plays with House money, and does not share in any of his (her) winnings or losses. Shills are used to facilitate starting games, and keeping them going. Compare: PROP.
- STACKED [DECK] - A deck that has been arranged to give one player a huge advantage. Also: RIGGED.
- LOWBALL - Generic term for poker where the lowest hand wins.
- JOKER - A 53rd card in the deck, distinct from the others, used as a wild card or as a BUG.
