Expanded Ladies Package Adds to WSOP
The winner of this year’s World Series of Poker’s Ladies Poker Championship will get a little extra TLC, thanks to the creator of the TV show “The Swan.” The Ladies event, a mainstay at the poker championships since 1977, already boasts a custom bracelet uniquely designed by Swiss watchmaker CORUM and now boasts a few extra gifts. The winner will get an exclusive lifestyle and makeover event from Nely Galan called “The New You.” In addition the winner will get VIP treatment by the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.

Poker slang:
- POSITION - One's location in the betting sequence, relative to the players still in the hand. First position is first to act.
- BUTTON CHARGE - A periodic fee paid by whoever is the button, perhaps every 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Constitutes part or all of the HOUSE CUT.
- HOOK - A Jack. So named because the "J" resembles a hook.
- BIG SLICK - In Texas Hold'em, hole cards of A-K, suited or not.
- PASS - Opposite of bet. To check, if checked to. To fold, if bet to.
- COLD CALL - Calling both a bet and raise at the same time, as opposed to calling a bet then later calling a raise made after the call.
