World Series of Poker warm-up events begin
LAS VEGAS (AP) - The dealing starts tomorrow for the warm-up events for the World Series of Poker. For the first time, organizers plan to broadcast ten final table showdowns among the earlier events on the Internet.

Poker argot:
- STUD - Any of several poker games in which some of each players' cards are exposed.
- BUTTON CHARGE - A periodic fee paid by whoever is the button, perhaps every 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Constitutes part or all of the HOUSE CUT.
- FILL - To draw a card that makes a five-card hand (straight, flush, full house, straight flush).
- FAMILY POT - A pot where all of the players at the table are participating, even after each has had an opportunity to act.
- OPEN - Make the first bet in a hand, especially in draw poker.
- ROLLED UP - In seven-card stud, being dealt three of a kind in the first three cards.
