Police, Motorcyclists Gear Up For The Annual Poker Run
For motorcycle riders and poker players, the 11th annual Poker Run is taking off from Leesburg Saturday morning. Registration is open to all bike riders and can be completed from 7:30 to 10 a.m. the day of the event at the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department.

Poker jargon:
- RAKE - Money taken from each pot and given to the house in return for hosting the game. Usually a percentage of the pot (5%-10%) up to some maximum amount.
- CRYING CALL - A call made with little chance of ultimately winning, but marginally better than an immediate fold.
- TOURNAMENT - A highly structured game involving potentially dozens of tables where all participants pay an entry fee and obtain a fixed number of chips. Once a tournament has started, additional players may not enter. As the game progresses players bust out and are eliminated until only one winner remains.
- MIDDLE POSITION - Betting positions approximately halfway around the table from the first player to act.
- FAMILY POT - A pot where all of the players at the table are participating, even after each has had an opportunity to act.
- SET - In Hold'em, three of a kind where two of the cards are hole cards.
