Poker tournament raises $650 for Cancer Society
SEYMOUR Rich Parker and Jeff Hornaday hosted a Texas Hold em Tournament in Seymour on May 12 and raised more than $650 to go to the American Cancer Society. The tournament was part of the “Relay for Life” event that will be held June 23 at Paul Johnson Field in Centerville from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Poker dictionary:
- RUNNER-RUNNER - A hand made using both of the last two cards dealt.
- SHOWDOWN - The point at the end of the hand where all active players reveal their cards and the pot is awarded to the winner(s).
- DRAW - [1] A class of poker games characterized by players being dealt 5 cards face-down and later having the opportunity to replace some of the original 5. "Draw poker" and "Five-card draw" are examples of usage. [2] In stud and Hold'em games, the set of cards that will be dealt later can be collectively called "the draw".
