Video poker in Iberia Parish is an idea that could bring in enough money to put a stop to one of its biggest problems… roads. Some parish leaders want to legalize video poker machines like those in use across St. Martin Parish to raise money to fix Iberia Parish roads.

Poker dictionary:
- FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
- ACTION - Money that is being bet. "NO ACTION" means a hand or game has few bettors and fewer raisers. "Gimme some action" is ostensibly a plea for calls and raises.
- BUTTON CHARGE - A periodic fee paid by whoever is the button, perhaps every 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Constitutes part or all of the HOUSE CUT.
- PAY OFF - Calling a bet with little expectation of winning, unless the opponent is bluffing.
- FOURTH STREET - In stud poker, the fourth card dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the fourth community card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is TURN (q.v.).
- BEE No. 92 (TM) - Trade name for the "diamond back" cards frequently used in casino games. Compare: RIDER BACK.
