Poker tournament supports scholarships
A no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em Charity Poker Tournament to benefit Oakland Community College’s Clyde Harnack Firefighter Scholarship Program is planned. It will be Saturday, April 28, at Jimi’s Restaurant, directly across Washington Street from OCC’s Royal Oak campus.

- FOUR OF A KIND - A hand containing all four cards of the same rank.
- CAP - To cap the betting is to make the last permitted raise in a round.
- BELLY BUSTER - An inside straight draw. Same as GUTSHOT.
- DEAD MAN'S HAND - Generically: two pair, aces and eights. Specifically: the black aces, black eights and nine of diamonds. The hand Wild Bill Hickok was holding when he was shot to death.
- FLOORMAN - The casino representative in charge of the card room or a section of a card room. Arbitrates disputes when unusual events happen.
- LOWBALL - Generic term for poker where the lowest hand wins.
