The Catawba Indian Tribe cannot operate video poker on its reservation near Rock Hill, the S.C. Supreme Court unanimously ruled Monday.
(Columbia-AP) March 19, 2007 - The state Supreme Court says the Catawba Indian Nation may not offer video poker on its reservation. The court ruled Monday that the nation’s 14-year-old land settlement with the state did not allow the tribe to offer video gambling, which is illegal in South Carolina.
Jerry Schrader’s luck ran out on Saturday. Schrader was eliminated early from the Mansionpoker.net Poker Dome Challenge finals for $1 million in Las Vegas.
