Harrah’s to launch European World Series of Poker event

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Harrah’s Entertainment announced Monday it was bringing the World Series of Poker to Europe, launching an inaugural 10-day, three-event tournament in September at the company’s recently acquired London Clubs International casinos.

  • LITTLE SLICK - In Hold'em, hole cards of A-2, suited or not.
  • SHARK - A good/crafty player often posing as a fish early in the game.
  • FORCED BET - In some stud games a player may be required to make a bet to start the action on the first card. This is similar conceptually to blinds and antes, but in this case is dependent on the cards shown rather than player position. Usually the weakest hand is forced to bet.
  • BIG SLICK - In Texas Hold'em, hole cards of A-K, suited or not.
  • WIRED [PAIR] - A pair in the hole. In 5-card stud, a door card that pairs the hole card.
  • FILL - To draw a card that makes a five-card hand (straight, flush, full house, straight flush).
