Phishing is the term used when scam artists try to get a consumer’s personal information in order to steal money from them, and now it appears that phishers have decided to go after online poker players. Members of online poker room Party Poker have been receiving emails about gaming regulations and asked to log on to their Party Poker account via a link in the email in order to learn how it will impact them. The information is instead sent to the phishers, who collect the user names and passwords…

 

In a move designed to provide more accessibility and advantage to both parties, online poker network 24hPoker and Wagerworks decided to launch cooperation. A letter of intent has been signed by both companies that will open 24hPoker network to Wagerworks’ clients, granting them access to casino solutions. The CEO of 24hPoker, Per Hildebrand, is a known fan of tournament poker and is excited about the move…

 

Sin City will be hosting racing and poker fans in April, but players can get their engines warmed up today by playing in satellites to win seats at the Poker Event at Vegas Grand Prix. The event will be a 45-day run at Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, the birthplace of the World Series of Poker. Included in the festivities will be a celebrity poker event on Saturday, April 7, at which attendees will benefit Vegas Grand Prix charities via the Jenyon Foundation, Inc.
