Ultimate Poker Challenge Loses Advertisers
When a TV show loses its sponsors and advertisers, it no longer makes money, and such is the case with the Ultimate Poker Challenge, played and filmed at the Binion’s casino in Las Vegas. The poker series will continue to run, and players will continue to play in the events in the birthplace of the World Series of Poker, but the filming has stopped. Many of the advertisers for the show were online poker rooms, but as they have born the brunt of the UIGEA they have had to withdraw from their support, and now the UPC can’t afford to air its show.
