House’s stance on social poker game clarified
CHEYENNE - Grab the cards, it’s nearly time to head for the local watering spot and a friendly round of poker. Social gamblers and bar owners came up aces in the House as legislators passed Senate File 23 during third reading on Thursday.

- OVERPAIR - In Hold'em, a pair in the hole that is larger than any community card on the board.
- PAY STATION - A player who rarely folds, thus who frequently calls better hands and loses. Almost as much fun as a LIVE ONE.
- UNDERDOG - Before all the cards are dealt, a hand that does not figure to be the winner. Ant: FAVORITE.
- EDGE - An advantage over an opponent, either specific or subjective.
- MARKED CARDS - Cards that have been (illegally) altered so that their value can be read from the back.
- STEAM - Playing wildly, calling and raising a lot, because one is upset. Compare: ON TILT.
